Women Sell A Lot of Books
The adult fantasy genre is absolutely on fire in the US book market right now! While the overall print book market is struggling to stay afloat, adult fantasy is bucking the trend in a big way. According to Circana BookScan, sales in the first half of 2024 skyrocketed by a whopping 85.2% compared to the same period last year.
Here is some data per Katharina Buchholz of Statista for 2024 US sales up until June 8th:
